In the last few years there has been a drastic growth in demand for Linux servers seemingly leaving Windows servers behind.

As revealed by, Scott Guthrie, a Microsoft’s executive VP  of the cloud and enterprise group to ZDNET.
It’s not just Microsoft’s Azure customers who are turning to Linux. explains

“Native Azure services are often running on Linux. Microsoft is building more of these services. For example, Azure’s Software Defined Network (SDN) is based on Linux.”

This also explains the wish of Microsoft to become a stronger integral within Linux community as we’ve discussed few days ago in Microsoft tries further to tighten relationship with its arch enemy – Linux
