Wescover, a San Francisco-based startup building a catalog of local artists and their work, today announced that it’s teaming up with Google to supply Google Lens with information about art and design installations.
The latest feature to make its way to Google Lens allows users to point their camera at artwork and have the app recognize it.
If Lens successfully recognizes the artwork, it will provide information about the work, similar to what you might find on a plaque in the museum.
Initially this feature will work well only in San Fransisco.
